Should I jailbreak my iPod touch?

I wish I knew what jailbreaking meant, but I'm uming it means something like modding it. Any mods you make to an iPod voids the warranty... because Apple will blame any issues you're having with that iPod on whatever you've done to it, even if it isn't at all related. It's their scapegoat out of having to deal with helping you. So I wouldn't do it unless you can easily come up with the money to buy a new one should something go wrong with the one you modded.
