Has the Chinese government ordered a terrible consequence on an innocent people in Sudan and lost your favor?

Instead of putting their best effort into cleaning up their environment, Chinese officials have ordered the flooding of a nearby valley filled with ancient architecture belonging to another culture. They threaten to displace the Manasir people, as well as utterly devastate any hope of recovering what remains hidden within that Sudanese valley. Sudan is not owned by China. China very likely does not intend to pay the bills for the Sudanese people, and the Manasir in particular are protesting. Does China, instead, intend to steal that culture's prosperity for some reason? Do they fear the recovery of something important? Are they among those who are jealous of Sudan's quiet advantages over their neighbors? Or are they actually doing their best to improve domestic and foreign relationships alike? For the sake of a prosperous future that doesn't neglect this planet's concerned citizens, we must not increase oppression. We are international customers, and this planet is our success.
