PLEASE whats the title of this movie........?

its an old movie.been searching everywhere for it,cant remember if it was a series or a movie.there were 2 friends/sisters,one sister had a man and the other didnt.the one sister wanted the others man and pushed her into a river with crocodiles in it n her face became disfigured but she had surgery which completely transformed her looks,she looked different n stunning n cut her hair short.she also had an affair with the surgeon i think,not sure.top points for best answer!thank you!
